Industry welcomes Union Budget 2025

Piyush Goyal, Co-Founder and CEO of Volks Energie, has been actively engaging with industry stakeholders to shape the renewable energy discourse ahead of Union Budget 2025. In his recent statements, Goyal emphasized the need for decisive action to achieve India’s ambitious renewable energy goals. He advocates for financial assistance, subsidies, and low-interest loans to make rooftop solar systems more affordable and scalable. Recognizing the critical role of energy storage, Goyal calls for tax incentives and support for advanced battery technologies like Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) and Nickel-Cadmium (Ni-Cd). He also proposes an Execution-Linked Incentive for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) companies to encourage timely project completion, aligning with India’s target of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel energy by 2030.
