BPCL Partners with Volks Energie for Solar Initiative

Volks Energie has partnered with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) to develop India’s first solar power plant equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery energy storage systems for oil and gas pipelines. This initiative spans 14 strategic locations across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with a combined battery capacity of 1.6 MWh. The deployment of LFP batteries offers multiple advantages, including improved safety, extended battery lifespan, and higher energy density compared to traditional batteries. Volks Energie will equip the systems with advanced safety features, such as automatic fire suppression, ensuring the protection of sensitive equipment at the pipeline stations.
